Meals and Menu

The Centre provides a nutritious, well balanced two course lunch each day, as well as morning and afternoon tea. Water is given after lunch to rinse the children’s teeth. Our menu consists of a variety of hot and cold meals, all prepared fresh daily on the premises. Cool boiled water for drinking is available to the children at all times. Milk is served with Morning and Afternoon tea.

We provide pureed and mashed seasonal vegetables and fruits for babies not yet able to eat from our two weekly menu. We try to reflect children’s cultural backgrounds in the menu, so if you have any favourite recipes, we would appreciate you sharing them with us. If children have any specific dietary needs, parents are requested to provide an educator with this information.

Our two weekly menu is displayed on the notice board inside the foyer. If you would like to try any of our meals at home, please ask an educator for a copy of the recipe. A daily menu is displayed on the chalkboard located in the foyer beside the cot window which reflects any changes that have been made to the weekly menu due to special events (Birthdays, World Food Day, etc.) and seasonal availability of ingredients (fresh fruit varieties being unavailable). Please do not bring any food in to the centre. There is to be no food or drinks left in children’s bags during the day.
